1. What’s Karaoke HiFi?
Karaoke HiFi is a software for entertainment purpose. It is capable of playing CDG format (a popular karaoke format available on Internet used in karaoke-machine) and it has its own MIDI karaoke database of English and Vietnamese songs (this database will be updated and made available whenever it’s ready). At the moment, Karaoke HiFi bundles 940 songs inside the installation package (English + Vietnamese)

2. Does Karaoke HiFi support background video?
Yes.
By default, background visualization is installed when you setup KaraokeHiFi. You can change this background to any background video by pressing F5 and selecting your video file.

Advanced feature of playing a list of background videos is also supported in Karaoke HiFi play lists.

3. What are Karaoke HiFi play lists?

Play lists are accessed by pressing SPACE BAR and hidden by pressing ESC or SPACE BAR again.

There are 3 play lists in Karaoke HiFi:
• CDG play list: (click button has letter A at the bottom right of play lists window):
This is used to add .CDG file into play list (or ZIP file contain CDG + MP3). If you want to load this play list automatically for the next time then save it as karaoke.k2f
• VIDEO play list: (click button has letter V at the bottom right of play lists window):
This is used to add a list of videos file that will be used as background. If you want to load this play list automatically for the next time then save it as video.v2f
• MIDI play list: (click button has letter M at the bottom right of play lists window):
There are 2 midi play lists: Vietnamese and English, interchangeable view by clicking the top-left switch button.

You can not edit this play list.

4. Can I select the song by entering the number as in real karaoke machine system?

Yes.
You can play the song by entering the number (known as code: look at the code column in MIDI play list).

A list of songs in Word document will be supplied soon.

5. How to switch between background Video and Visualization?

If you have video play list then for interchanging between Video and Visualization, please press button F9

6. What are the important hot-keys:

• Help: F1 (currently under construction)
• Stop current song: S
• Pause/Resume current song: P
• Show/Hide lyrics: H
• Turn on/off video background music: F10
• Turn on/off solid CDG background (default: transparent): F11
• Activate/Deactivate random song selection mode: R
• Increase/Decrease volume: Up/Down arrow
• Display program status: F2 (volume, random mode, etc.)
• Show song queue: Enter
• Display play list: SPACE BAR
• Open video file directly: F5

7. Font used in Karaoke HiFi for Vietnamese language?

8. Can I change the display position of the lyrics?

Yes, you can.
Click the mouse on the lyrics and drag to your desired position

9. Changing resolution
The default resolution when running Karaoke HiFi is 640×480. Higher resolution is not recommended for the smooth of visualization & cdg performance. However, you can change this default resolution by adding parameters to the shortcut of Kar2Fi as following:
“X:\Prrogram Files\Karaoke HiFi\Kar2Fi.exe” 800 600

or

“X:\Prrogram Files\Karaoke HiFi\Kar2Fi.exe” 1024 768

(X is the drive where karaoke hifi is installed)
